Soccer Lions FC crushes Great Asona FC 5-1 in friendly game

Soccer Lions FC displayed an impressive performance by thrashing Great Asona FC 5-1 as part of their preparations for the upcoming Western Regional Football Association (WRFA) Super Middle League.

The encounter, which showcased the talent and strategy of the Simba Boys, saw a remarkable turnaround after an early setback. Great Asona FC initially took the lead, breaking the deadlock early in the game.

However, Soccer Lions quickly responded with a goal from Nil Ayens, leveling the score and setting the stage for a dominant second half.

After the break, Soccer Lions’ coach, Benjamin Martin Appiah, made strategic substitutions that significantly impacted the game’s dynamics. The introduction of fresh legs revitalized the team, leading to a series of goals that overwhelmed Great Asona FC.

Albert Ndri emerged as a standout performer, netting two goals that propelled Soccer Lions ahead.

Asante Daniel further extended the lead, and Vincent Owusu sealed the victory with a final goal, bringing the score to an emphatic 5-1.

This commanding win boosts Soccer Lions FC’s confidence as they gear up for the WRFA Super Middle League.

The team’s next challenge will be against Division One side Sefwi All Stars at Asafo Ramos Park on Thursday, May 23. This match is expected to provide further insights into the team’s readiness and tactical adjustments ahead of the Middle league.
