Work on the Brenuakyim road has stalled with the contractor, not on site.

The 40 kilometres Tarkwa town roads awarded to Control construction, was started in September 2020 and is expected to be completed within 24 months.

A visit to the project by TarkwaInsider revealed that even though the contractor has started the construction of the drainage system, no construction work was on-going at the time of the visit.

Our checks revealed that the contractor left the site about three weeks ago after starting the construction of the drainage system.

Some residents told Tarkwa Insider that they are surprised the contractor is not on-site and hasn’t completed a lane of the drainage system for the construction of the road to commence.

They revealed that they want the contractor back on site as a matter of urgency as the people of Brenuakyim have been yearning for the completion of the Drainage system and roads to prevent flooding and make movement easy for residents in the area.
