Taxi drivers lament daily sales has reduced, passengers are now geason to get like previous times as ‘pragia’ riders competing with them for load.
Commercial taxi drivers in Juaboso of the Western North Region have expressed dissatisfaction with pragia riders as they differ orders to travel to long distance instead of town running and specific destinations.
They travel far to Amoaya, Dadieso, Bonsu-Nkwanta, Asawinso, Bodi etc.
Notwithstanding, the drivers explained that ‘pragia’ riders sometimes ‘steal’ their passengers. They disclosed that it has affected their daily sales.
Again, the drivers expressed worry over pragia’s overloading which puts the lives of passengers at risk.
Aggressively, they’ve called on authorities and government to immediately intervene as their job is collapsing gradually for pragia business.
Meanwhile, Chairman of Juaboso Pragia Association, Adasa Nkrumah, affectionately called ‘Bar De Cash’ has refuted claims that their members travel to far distance and also ‘steal’ their passengers.
He said as an association, such behaviour is against their rules and regulations. Adding it’s never true their members are involved as the taxi drivers claimed.
However, Sefwinews.com can confirm that the drivers have a case.
