The Sefwi Asawinso Area of the Apostolic Church-Ghana, led by Senior Minister S.K. Avorli, ordained 36 lay officers into the office as Elders, Deacons, and Deaconesses on Saturday, July 27, 2024.

This significant event saw the ordination of sixteen (16) Elders, eleven (11) Deacons, and nine (9) Deaconesses drawn from various districts, including Juaboso District, Bodi District, Boako District, and Asawinso Central Church, all under the Sefwi Asawinso Area in the Western North Region.

Speaking after the ceremony held at the Asawinso Auditorium, Senior Minister S.K. Avorli emphasized that the reason for appointing these officers is to bring progress to the church.

He appealed to the newly appointed lay officers to persevere and remain committed to doing the work of God.

He also mentioned that the appointment of workers into God’s work is an ongoing process.

In the lead-up to the 2024 National Women’s Convention, Senior Minister Avorli encouraged all women, youth groups, and men’s movements to fully participate and contribute to making the event a success.

Regarding the upcoming 2024 elections, Senior Minister S.K. Avorli reminded pastors to remain non-partisan and refrain from using the pulpit as a campaign platform.

He urged them to abstain from endorsing candidates or political parties, instead focusing on preaching peace before, during, and after the elections.
