President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has sworn into office 16 regional ministers with a responsibility to them to help safeguard peace, law and order in their respective regions.
He charged the ministers to note that all the plans and programmes of the government would come to nought if there is no peace.
Meanwhile, the Western North Regional Minster, Mr Richard Obeng has stated that it has come time to carry out an alteration to the people of the region.
“Now, the way is clear, the time to bring real transformation to livelihoods is before us, the moment to lead with respect for all generations is given, the courage and wisdom to remain fair and tough have been handed down to us by the Almighty God and my Boss, Mr. President. (Joshua 1: 1-9 emphasis mine),”
Mr Richard Obeng also thanked Ogyeahohoo Nana Yaw Gyebi II, the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Anhwiaso Traditional Council, also President of the National House of Chiefs for his backing to attain this ministerial role.

However, Mr Obeng’s appointment makes him the second Western North Regional Minister after Mr Kingsley Aboagye-Gyedu since the creation of the region in 2018.
