Takoradi Technical University has proudly inaugurated its newest addition, the TTU Guest House, at a brief ceremony held in Accra.
The eight-bedroom guest house, situated at Spintex near the Entrance University, boasts top-notch amenities such as a swimming pool, spacious reception area, fully-equipped kitchen, and ample parking space, among others.
This pioneering TTU Guest House aims to cater to the accommodation needs of TTU staff, associates, and the general public.
Its establishment marks a significant milestone in the realization of TTU’s 5-year strategic plan, focused on enhancing infrastructure and facilities within the university.
Dr. Samuel Amo Tobbin, Chairman of the TTU Governing Council, led the commissioning of the TTU Guest House on Friday, April 19th, 2024.
He commended the management for their efforts and expressed gratitude to the Council for their support in acquiring such an impressive establishment.
Dr. Tobbin described the achievement as “no mean feat,” reflecting the magnitude of the accomplishment.
Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, Vice Chancellor of TTU, shared his delight at witnessing the fruition of a long-awaited dream under his leadership. He expressed, “This has been on my heart since I was first sworn in as the Rector and later the Vice-Chancellor, and I must say, it is a dream come true.”
Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory, Registrar of the University, led the Council and Management on a tour of the facility, introducing the interim staff who will oversee its operations.
The event was attended by various members of the University Council, including the Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Victor Kweku Bondzie Micah, and Dr. Gabriel Sam Ahinful, the Director of Finance. Also present were Ms. Elizabeth Obeng, the Director of Internal Audit, and Mr. Paapa Kwamina Fynn, Acting Librarian, highlighting the significance of the occasion and the collective efforts behind the establishment of the TTU Guest House.
