Uniiq fm’s icon, Sir Joe celebrates birthday

If you are in the Western North Region, probably Bia West and East District, He might be that powerful voice which always sticks you to your radio and wanting for more.

He needs no introduction in the media industry in Bia West and East, He is the most favourite Presenter including children and Icon of Oseikojokrom Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) based station UNIIQ 95.1 FM’s SIR JOE. Born to Mr. Kofi Boateng and the late Mad. Abenaa Pokuaa on November 23rd.

Richard Boateng popularly called Sir Joe attended Simms senior high school, Fawoade-Kumasi from 2005-2008 before enrolling at Kumasi most prestigious Journalism institution, Oxford Institute of Business and Journalism at Ohwimase Kwadaso from 2010-2012.

Sir Joe was posted to Oseikojokrom UNIIQ 95.1 fm for his internship in September 2012 where he joined the sports crew under Mr. Coffie Lawrence. Sir Joe quickly rose to fame just a few months after joining UNIIQ fm and suddenly became the toast of the listeners and Icon of the station.

He became the co-host of the Uniiq fm flagship morning show programme “Super Morning Flight” and also the face of the Uniiq fm sports programme.

He was also the host of Uniiq fm weekend show “Community Development Programme” and host of Uniiq fm Entertainment Show.

He was also the Host of “Uniiq Kasahare level show” which aim at raising musical talents. Sir Joe is a committed Christian who attends the Church of Pentecost and yet to marry. He remains committed to Uniiq fm though the radio has been off-air for close to three years.

Sir Joe is currently the Western Region and Western North Regional correspondent for Accra base Rainbow 87.5 fm and also Bia west/Bia East reporter for Ghana Broadcasting corporation, Liberty 92.7 fm in Sefwi Wiawso.

During the 2016 general election, he was the correspondent for EIB stations including GHone Tv, Star fm, etc in Western North.

Sir Joe is also an integral member of Sefwinews.com and writes as a reporter from Bia. He has been part of sefwinews.com’s success story.
