(Video) Chief of Sefwi Amafie perform rituals to drive COVID-19 away

The Chief of Amafie cum Twafohene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council, Nana Yaw Badu II, and his elders have performed rituals to call upon the gods to repel the spirit of Corona Virus from Amafie community for that matter Sefwiland.

This came to light when the Chief, his elders, the Queenmother, and some section of the women in the community carried out sacraments named ‘MOMOME’ to drive away COVID-19 from their land.

‘MOMOME’ is a Sefwi word, a liturgy that is executed to clear off any disease, calamity, or any trouble that causes harm to the land of Sefwi.

This rite was done, on Thursday 2nd April, 2020 as directed by Katakyie Kwasi Bumagama II, the Paramount Chief of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council.

Amafie is a farming community located in between Sefwi Wiawso and Sefwi Bosomoiso of the Western North Region.

Nana Yaw Badu II revealed the secret behind this ritual against Corona Virus disease in an exclusive interview with Sefwinews.com.
