Video: Sefwi Wiawso NPP PC donates 500 dual desks to Education Directorate

The NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso, Festus Bumankama Agyapong, has donated 500 dual desks to the education directorate in the Sefwi Wiawso municipality in the Western North region.

The desk shortage has been a persistent issue in the Sefwi Wiawso municipality, severely impacting the quality of teaching and learning activities. Due to the lack of adequate desks, many students have been forced to endure uncomfortable seating arrangements during their classes.

This donation aims to improve the learning conditions for students who have been struggling with a severe desk shortage in their classrooms.

In addition to the desks, Festus Bumakama Agyapong provided the municipal education directorate with a new desktop computer and accessories to improve administrative efficiency and operations.

At a brief ceremony held at the forecourt of the NPP Constituency Office in Sefwi Wiawso, Festus Bumakama Agyapong noted that during his campaign tour, he engaged some head teachers who highlighted the urgent need for desks in their schools.

Responding to this call, Festus Bumakama Agyapong prioritized the provision of these essential desks to ensure students have a conducive learning environment.

He underscored the importance of supporting educational institutions and reiterated his dedication to improving the quality of education in the area.

He further pledged to increase the number of desks to continue enhancing teaching and learning activities in the Sefwi Wiawso municipality.

Festus Bumakama Agyapong also addressed the misinformation spread by his political opponents, who claimed that his social programs were funded by the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council.

He called on the constituents to ignore the false claims made by his political opponents and reaffirmed that his endeavours are solely dedicated to the development of the constituency.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Director of Education, Abraham Fetcher, acknowledged the severe desk deficit in the municipality, which stands at 10,000.

He expressed gratitude to Festus Bumakama Agyapong for his substantial contribution, noting that the donation would significantly reduce the desk shortage.

Abraham Fetcher also appealed for further assistance to completely eliminate the desk deficit in schools across the municipality.
