Wamanafo Mighty Royals baptize Sefwi All Stars in DOL football

Sefwi All Stars, a Division One side in Western North Region, has tasted their first defeat at Asafo Ramos Park to Mighty Royals.

Wamanafo-based Division One side baptized Sefwi All Stars in a 0-2 victory in a friendly encounter last Sunday.

The Stars had one of the worst performances in their pre-season campaign against the Zone One side in preparation for the 2022/23 Division One League.

The royals displayed a master class performance from the blast of the whistle, controlled possession and created a series of chances which led to their first goal in the first half.

After the break, Coach Cosmos Amankwah of Sefwi All Stars made some substitutions, but that did not stop the visitors from dominating the game.

After missing a couple of chances in the second half, Wamanafo Mighty Royals got their second of the day through a corner kick.

Later in the game, Sefwi All Stars threw everything at the visitors but could not snatch a consolation goal.

However, the Juaboso-based club has won four matches in their six pre-season encounters and tested two defeats to Bibiani Goldstars and Wamanafo Mighty Royals.

Sefwi All Stars has previously defeated Bia Stars 4-2, Union Rovers 2-1, Memphis 4-1, won 1-2 against Sefwiman Sporting Club and drew 1-1 against Golden Pot of Wassa Sraha.
