We need a midwife – Chief appeals to MP

Nana Kwadwo Amoah II, Chief of Sefwi Bokabo has appealed to Hon Ahi and Bodi health directorate to provide them a midwife to loosen the burden pregnant women go through during labour.

Nana said the community has no midwife, so women in labour travel a long distance before they get to a midwife which mostly poses as a threat to their lives and unborn babies.

He made it known when the Member of Parliament for Sefwi Bodi Constituency in the Western North Region, Hon Sampson Ahi commissioning an ultramodern clinic for the people of Sefwi Bokabo, a farming community in Bodi constituency.

Meanwhile, Hon Ahi during the commissioning of the well-furnished project with two apartments for the nurses at post said, the aim for the construction of the clinic is to provide good access to their healthcare and also to bridge the far distance they go for medical attention.

Hon Ahi also advised the commuters to patronage the clinic and exhibit a regular check-up than to wait for any health problem.

Some resident couldn’t escape their joy after the clinic was commissioned. They lauded their Member of Parliament for his timely intervention.
