Bibiani GoldStars CEO,John Akwasi Adu, is optimistic about his team’s potential to clinch the Ghana Premier League title, with the club currently leading the league after nine matchdays.
GoldStars have demonstrated remarkable consistency, maintaining the league’s best defensive record and achieving 13 out of a possible 15 points in home games, positioning themselves three points ahead of second-placed Nations FC.
GoldStars’ unbeaten run, including five wins and a standout 1-0 away victory over Hearts of Oak, has sparked increased discussions about their title ambitions.
Despite their impressive form, Akwasi Adu remains cautious, emphasizing the need for consistent effort and professionalism throughout the season.
“Every team in the Ghana Premier League aims to win the title,” Adu shared with Asempa FM.
“If we have the chance to secure it, it would bring great prestige to the club. This is our fourth season in the league, and if the moment to win arrives, we’ll embrace it wholeheartedly. We’ll continue to work hard, and if our efforts merit it, we’ll gladly take the title.”
As they prepare to face Young Apostles in Wenchi for their tenth match, GoldStars will look to maintain their unbeaten record and extend their lead at the top, staying firmly in the race for their first Premier League title.
