Head Coach of Bibiani Goldstars, Frimpong Manso, has expressed determination to secure at least a point in their upcoming clash against Nations FC in the Ghana Premier League.
Scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024, the Miners will make the journey to Abrankese to face off against Nations FC, seeking redemption following their earlier 1-0 defeat at Dun’s Park in the first round fixture.
Currently occupying the 9th position with 38 points, Bibiani Goldstars face a formidable challenge against a Nations FC side sitting 2nd on the log with 44 points.
In preparation for the crucial match, Coach Frimpong Manso emphasized the importance of managing player fatigue, especially as the season draws to a close.
Despite the stress and exhaustion prevalent in the squad, Frimpong Manso assured that the team’s training regime remains unchanged.
Addressing concerns about player readiness, the coach underscored the need for every member of the squad to be prepared, as rotations might be necessary to maintain optimal performance levels.
Highlighting the rigorous travel schedule endured by the team, including trips to Kpondo, Accra, and Kumasi, Frimpong Manso acknowledged the toll it has taken on the players’ fitness.
However, he noted that approximately 80 percent of the squad is currently fit, with some players requiring only match fitness to reach peak condition.
