Western North Minister donates cash, pledges support to Bibiani Goldstars

The pride of Western North Region, Bibiani Goldstars, has today, October 11, paid a courtesy call on the Western North Regional Minister at his office in Sefwi Wiawso.

The Management led by Akwasi Adu was at the Regional Minister’s office to officially introduce the club as a newly promoted and the only premier league team in the region.

The delegation from the club includes Akwasi Adu, CEO of Goldstars, Kwaku Fosu (General Manager of Lord Fm), Nicholas Yeboah (Vice- Chairman of Goldstars Supporters Union), Fosu Anthony (Former Welfare Officer), and Seth Adjei, Social Media Manager of the club.

The Chief Executive Officer of the club, Akwasi Adu, presented a medal and a giant trophy to the Regional minister as Zone II Champions of the 2020/21 National Division One league.

He showered praises on Hon. Richard Obeng for his tremendous work in the region since he assumed the duty as Regional Minister.

Akwasi Adu appealed to the minister to come to their aid in helping to shape Dun’s Park to enable them to host this year premier league matches at home.

On his part, Hon. Richard Ebbah Obeng, the Western North Regional Minister, expresses his appreciation for the visits and urges the club not to hesitate in coming to his office anytime they are in need.

The Regional Minister said Bibiani Goldstars qualification to the premiership is a good omen for the region and that will attract people to the area leading to curbing unemployment and boosting tourism in the region.

Hon. Richard Obeng made a cash donation of Ghc 10,000.00 to the club following the renovation of Bibiani Dun’s Park.

 He promised to construct VIP stands at the park and assist the team in putting the park to shape.

He also accepted the earlier request from the Management of the Club to help the Bibiani Township with an AstroTurf Park.

The minister charged them to prepare very well for the upcoming season and promised to visit the team in Bibiani as he pledged to support them from the stands during league matches.

The delegation from the club thanked the minister for the kind gesture.
