Western North Regional Minister donate desks to Adjoafua Islamic school

Adjoafua Arabic English Primary and Junior High School have become the first school within the Western North Region to benefit from the “1school child 1studydesk” initiative.

The Western North Regional Minister, Hon. Rocky Joojo Obeng, has today, June 18, 2021, presented 100 study chairs and tables to the school.

In addition, two teachers desks and chairs were also presented to the basic school.

In a short ceremony held at the school premises in Sefwi Adjoafua in the Bia West District, Hon Joojo Obeng said the donation form part of the government initiative to make sure every school child has a chair to sit on and a desk to write on.

He urged the authorities to maintain the desks and make proper use of them.

The minister further stresses that Adjoafua Islamic school is the first institution in the region to benefit from the initiative.

In attendance was the Chief Director of the Western North Region, Mr Kwarteng, Sefwi Wiawso Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Louis Owusu Agyapong.

Others include Bia West District Chief Executive, Hon John Koah, Deputy Chief Imam, Alhaji Hussein Yakubu among others.

Hon Joojo Obeng also used the opportunity to visit the Adjoafua community Day Senior High school.

He assured the school of government support to the infrastructural needs of the institution.
