With less than 10 months remaining until Ghana’s general election on December 7, 2024, political tensions are rising, particularly in the Sefwi Wiawso constituency of the Western North Region.
Kofi Benteh Afful, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency, has boldly proclaimed his party’s readiness to secure victory in both the presidential and parliamentary elections, expressing unwavering confidence even in the face of formidable opponents.
During a visit to the constituency, Mr. Benteh, accompanied by key party executives including Constituency Chairman, Patrick Quinoo and Vice Chairman, Nana Kwame Asiedu, reiterated the NDC’s determination to reclaim the parliamentary seat.
He confidently stated that the NDC is fully prepared to emerge victorious, emphasizing that even if the New Patriotic Party (NPP) were to field Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia as their candidate in Sefwi Wiawso, the NDC would still secure the seat.
Kofi Benteh’s remarks came amidst his participation in the closing ceremony of an inter-school gala competition held at Sefwi Asawinso, where he also presented jerseys to the participating schools.
Meanwhile, in the upcoming 2024 elections, Kofi Benteh Afful will compete against Festus Bumankama Agyapong, the NPP parliamentary candidate for Sefwi Wiawso Constituency seat.
