The Western North Regional Peace Council has called on residents of Sayerano in the Juaboso District to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies following the fatal shooting incident that claimed 3 lives and left others injured.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Most Rev. Nkuah-Boateng expressed deep concern over the incident and extended his condolences to the families of the deceased while wishing those injured a speedy recovery.
He called for a thorough, fair and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting, urging the relevant state institutions to ensure that justice is delivered.

The Peace Council Chairman appealed to chiefs, elders, opinion leaders and residents of Sayerano and surrounding communities to remain calm, law-abiding and allow the investigative process to take its course.
He cautioned against any acts of retaliation, vigilantism or destruction of property, stressing that such actions could worsen tensions and undermine efforts to achieve lasting peace.
Most Rev. Nkuah-Boateng commended traditional authorities and community leaders for their role in restoring calm after the incident and encouraged continued engagement between the Police, residents and other stakeholders.
He further assured that the Western North Regional Peace Council would continue to monitor developments and work with relevant institutions to promote peace and stability in Sayerano and the wider Juaboso District.
