Alexander Afenyo Markins, the Minority Leader of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Parliament, has expressed his admiration for Richard Acheampong, a seasoned Member of Parliament (MP) from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) .
Despite their political differences, Afenyo Markins acknowledged Acheampong’s exceptional work ethic and expertise in finance, particularly during the NDC’s eight years in opposition.
Richard Acheampong, who is set to begin his fourth term as the MP for Bia East constituency in the Western North Region, has consistently demonstrated his proficiency in financial matters.
Afenyo Markins emphasized that Acheampong’s dedication and competence make him an ideal candidate for the position of Deputy Minister of Finance.
During his speech on the Parliament floor, Afenyo Markins stated that he would be surprised if President John Dramani Mahama does not nominate Acheampong for the role.
He believes that Acheampong’s experience and skills would be a valuable asset to the government, and that his appointment would be a well-deserved recognition of his hard work and contributions to the NDC.
Ricahrd Acheampong’s impressive background, which includes a degree in Human Resource Management and a degree in Law, makes him a strong contender for the position.
His experience as a banker and Assistant Manager at Nfana Rural Bank also demonstrates his expertise in financial matters.
