The Chief of Sefwi Alomum, Nana Assuah Kwame I, has commended the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso, Festus Bumankama Agyapong, for his swift action in fixing a 10-year abandoned and spoiled borehole.
The borehole, which had been the only source of water for the community, had been left neglected for a decade, causing great inconvenience and hardship for residents.
Sefwinews.com captured a photo of the deteriorated borehole on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, prompting an appeal to the office of Festus Bumankama Agyapong, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso, to repair the community’s sole water source.
Responding promptly to the appeal, the office of Festus Bumankama Agyapong arranged for the borehole to be fixed, completing the repairs within just five hours of the request. The sight of the borehole being restored brought immense joy to the residents of Sefwi Alomum.
Expressing his gratitude, Chief Nana Assuah Kwame I praised Festus Bumankama Agyapong for his actions, noting that the repair of the borehole has significantly eased the burden on residents who previously had to travel long distances to fetch water for their daily needs.
Nana affirmed that the people of Sefwi Alomum would support Festus Bumankama Agyapong’s political aspirations through their votes, recognizing his commitment to community welfare.
He also appealed to Festus Bumankama Agyapong to consider converting the borehole into a mechanized one to further improve its quality and accessibility.
