Festus Bumankama Agyapong, the 2024 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso, marked his birthday on March 27 by making a generous donation to the detainees at the Sefwi Wiawso District Police Command.
The donation, which included soft drinks, toilet rolls, bottled water, and packed fried rice, was presented by Mr. Frank Asirifi, the Constituency Organizer for the NPP, to the District Police Command on behalf of Festus Bumankama Agyapong.
Asirifi highlighted that the contribution was part of Agyapong’s broader vision for the development of Sefwi Wiawso Municipality, emphasizing his belief in supporting all members of the community, including those incarcerated.
Frank Asirifi explained that many of the detainees are innocent and should not be forgotten.
He stressed that Agyapong’s gesture was not just a birthday gift but a reflection of his commitment to treating every individual with dignity, much like practices in countries that prioritize the welfare of those in detention.
Frank Asirifi also reaffirmed Agyapong’s ongoing efforts to address the challenges of the area, particularly his dedication to providing job opportunities for the youth and ensuring the overall development of the municipality.
Mr. Donkor, who received the donation on behalf of the detainees, expressed sincere appreciation to Festus Bumankama for his kind gesture, noting that it would provide much-needed relief to the detainees.
