𝗚𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝟭𝟬 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗽𝗼𝘅 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲𝘀

The Ghana Health Service has confirmed 10 new cases of Mpox bringing the number of cases to nineteen (19).

According to health authorities, five persons are currently on admission.

Although the numbers of confirmed cases of the disease keep rising, health authorities maintain there is no cause for alarm.

The new confirmed cases, we gathered are from the northern, Western Region and the Greater Accra Regions.

3news sources can confirm that training on Mpox for teaching and regional hospitals is currently ongoing in Koforidua in the Eastern region while contact tracing is still ongoing.

Mpox spreads from animals to humans and from humans to humans. If you notice any symptoms, report to the nearest health facility.

Mpox, formerly known as Monkeypox, is a viral disease characterized by, rash, fever, headache, muscle aches, back pain, low energy, and swollen lymph nodes.

Close contact with infected individuals, animals, or contaminated materials are the primary mode of transmission.
