One person has been shot dead after robbers attacked passengers in a taxi and a motorbike from Nyumoase on the Atebubu-Yeji road in the Bono East Region.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at Kobre in the Pru East District.
The armed robbers made away with valuables, an unspecified amount of money, and the motorbike.
Robbery cases have increased recently in the district, with two separate incidents recorded in the last two days, resulting in the loss of lives and property.
In response to the latest attack, the Pru East DCE, Abdul-Nasir Dauda, stated that his office is implementing measures to curb the frequent attacks.
