Personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) at Agona Nsaba responded swiftly to a residential fire on Wednesday, October 29.
According to the official GNFS statement, firefighters arrived at the scene around 11:34 a.m. to find one of the eight rooms in the compound house fully engulfed in flames.
Residents had attempted to control the blaze before the team’s arrival, but the firefighters quickly extinguished the remaining fire and prevented it from spreading to the other rooms.

While seven rooms were saved, one room and its contents were completely destroyed. Tragically, one person lost their life in the incident.
The GNFS has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire and promised to share further details upon completion.
The Service thanked the public for their prompt response and urged continued vigilance in fire safety, stressing the importance of early reporting to minimize casualties and property loss.
