Bernard Gyebi Blay, former District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia West, has once again demonstrated his commitment to education and youth development with a generous donation to Bia Senior High Technical School (Bia SHTS).

On Friday, June 13, Mr. Blay, who also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Agooha 93.7FM, presented two new sets of cadet uniforms to the school.

The donation coincided with the official inauguration of the school’s newly established Cadet Corps — a milestone moment in the institution’s history.

This is not the first time the former DCE has extended support to the school. In December 2024, he donated GHC 20,000 to strengthen the operations of the Cadet Corps, provided 10 street bulbs to improve campus lighting, and handed over two sewing machines to the Home Economics Department.

At the brief presentation ceremony, Bernard Gyebi Blay reaffirmed his deep-rooted connection to Bia SHTS and his dedication to supporting the growth of its students.

“Bia SHTS has always held a special place in my heart,” he said. “Supporting its growth and nurturing the next generation of leaders is a responsibility I cherish deeply. I am committed to empowering our youth to reach their full potential.”

The Headmaster of Bia SHTS, Mr. A. K. Tawiah, received the uniforms on behalf of the school and expressed profound appreciation for the donation.

He emphasized that the support will go a long way in instilling discipline, leadership, and patriotism among students through the cadet program.

Present at the ceremony were several NPP executives, including Mr. Richard Ben Dadzie, the Constituency Secretary for Bia West, along with other committed party members.
