The Assembly Member for the Boinso Electoral Area, Alhassan Joseph, affectionately known as AJ, has made a significant contribution to the educational success of final-year students at Nana Brentu Senior High Technical School.
In a thoughtful gesture aimed at supporting academic excellence, Comrade AJ donated 20 CASIO scientific calculators along with an undisclosed amount of money to 20 final-year students from Boinso and the southern communities of the Aowin Municipality.
These students are preparing to sit for the upcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The donation was presented at a short ceremony held on the school’s premises, where the Assembly Member emphasized the importance of education as a powerful tool for personal and community transformation.
“Education remains the key to unlocking the potential of our youth. This donation is my way of ensuring that no student is left behind simply because of financial constraints,” Alhassan Joseph stated.
The calculators are expected to be of immense help, especially for students offering science and technical courses, where the use of scientific calculators is essential during exams.
The cash donation is also intended to support the students with last-minute preparation needs.
Teachers and staff at Nana Brentu SHTS expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful.
Several students also shared their gratitude, stating that the donation had lifted a huge burden off their shoulders as they enter the critical phase of their academic journey.
