The Assembly Member for Boinso Electoral Area (Government Appointee), Alhassan Joseph, popularly known as Comrade AJ, has once again demonstrated his commitment to education and community development by fulfilling a promise made earlier this year to outstanding Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, Comrade AJ donated chop boxes and trunks to six brilliant students from Boinso who scored single digits in the just-ended BECE.
The gesture, which was met with excitement and gratitude from parents and students, aims to motivate the beneficiaries as they prepare to enter Senior High School.
Comrade AJ’s latest support follows an earlier donation this year of 20 CASIO scientific calculators and an undisclosed sum of money to 20 final-year students from Boinso and other southern communities within the Aowin Municipality.
Addressing the students and parents, Comrade AJ stressed the transformative power of education and the importance of perseverance.
“Education is the most powerful tool we can give our children to change their lives and our community. Today, I am proud to recognize the hard work and determination of these six outstanding students. This is just the beginning, and we will continue to support and encourage them every step of the way.”
He went on to inspire the youth to remain focused and dedicated, highlighting how their achievements can uplift the entire community:
“I urge all young people in Boinso to work diligently, stay committed, and believe in your abilities. Your success is not just a personal milestone—it is a source of pride and hope for our entire community. As your Assembly Member, I promise to ensure that no effort to excel goes unnoticed or unsupported.”
On his philosophy of leadership, Comrade AJ emphasized service and accountability over titles or recognition, explaining:
“True leadership is not about titles or making noise; it is about touching lives and keeping promises.”
He reaffirmed his commitment to mentor and guide these students throughout their secondary school journey, ensuring they have the support and motivation needed to reach their full potential.
