Juaboso Senior High School has officially launched its 35th anniversary celebration with a vibrant and colourful event, highlighting over three decades of academic excellence, discipline, and service to education in the Juaboso District and beyond.
The anniversary is being held under the theme: “35 Years of Quality Education: Celebrating the Future, Inspiring the Present.”
The celebration began with a lively procession and float through the principal streets of Juaboso, attracting attention and excitement from residents as students and staff showcased the spirit of the school.

The official ceremony was later held at the school’s Assembly Hall, bringing together a wide range of dignitaries, including the Chairman of the occasion, the Chief of Juaboso, the District Coordinating Director, the District Director of Education, headmasters of Asawinso SHS and Adjoafua SHS, former Juaboso DCE, Hon. Assuah, Board Chairman Mr. Frederick Blay, an old student of the school and PTA Chairman, Mr. Emmanuel Fordjour, among other stakeholders.
In his address, the Headmaster, Mr. Christian Dedjoe-Djokotoe, outlined the school’s achievements over the past 35 years, noting that Juaboso SHS has produced numerous professionals such as doctors, nurses, teachers, and other contributors to national development.
He emphasized that the anniversary serves both as a moment of celebration and reflection on the school’s progress.
He further highlighted key challenges facing the institution, including inadequate teaching and learning materials, limited staff accommodation, and infrastructural deficits.
He expressed gratitude to old students, parents, and development partners for their continued support.

The keynote address was delivered by the District Coordinating Director on behalf of the District Chief Executive, who was unavailable due to an official engagement.
He reaffirmed the DCE’s commitment to supporting the school’s development agenda and officially launched the anniversary celebration.
The event also featured rich displays of traditional music and cultural performances by students, adding colour and excitement to the occasion.
A fundraising session followed, during which individuals and organizations made contributions towards the anniversary activities and development projects of the school.

The official 35th anniversary plaque was unveiled, and a commemorative cake was cut to formally launch the celebrations.
The climax of the celebrations is expected to take place in November this year.
