The Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has announced the completion of over 450 kilometers of road infrastructure in Western North region.
The revelation came during Dr. Bawumia’s recent engagement with the regional house of chiefs as part of his Bold Solution Tour, aimed at addressing critical issues affecting communities.
The Western North Region has long grappled with inadequate road networks, particularly exacerbating challenges during the rainy season.
However, with the completion of these new roads, significant strides have been made to alleviate these longstanding transportation hurdles.
During his visit to Sefwi Wiawso, Dr. Bawumia detailed the scope of the road construction efforts, highlighting key projects such as the Dadieso-Enchi, Enchi-Kodwo, and Bechemaa-Adjofua roads.
These infrastructural enhancements not only improve accessibility but also bolster economic activities by facilitating smoother transportation of goods and passengers.
Expressing the government’s unwavering commitment to addressing regional infrastructure deficits, Dr. Bawumia reiterated the administration’s pledge to tackle the critical road challenges facing the Western North Region.
According to him, the completion of these road projects underscores the government’s dedication to fostering development and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
Dr. Bawumia urged Western North residents to support him in the upcoming elections, promising to finish all ongoing road projects initiated by the NPP administration.
In response to the Vice President’s announcement, Ogyeahoho Yaw Gyebi II, President of the National House of Chiefs and the Western North Regional House of Chiefs, lauded the efforts of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
He commended the significant improvements in road infrastructure and urged continued momentum in completing ongoing projects to further enhance connectivity and spur economic growth in the region.
