The Headmaster of Bibiani Senior High Technical School (BISEC), George Baidoo, has presented 110 mono desks to the school’s Academic Board on Monday, August 19, 2024.
This initiative was primarily driven by the need to accommodate the significant increase in student enrollment and to address concerns related to the upcoming West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Given the large number of students sitting for the 2024 WASSCE, George Baidoo considered it essential to mitigate congestion during the exams by ensuring adequate seating arrangements.
The desks were funded by the school’s internally generated funds, reflecting the Headmaster’s commitment to providing a conducive learning environment.
In his remarks, George Baidoo urged the Academic Board to ensure the desks are used effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
He also emphasized the importance of maintaining the furniture to serve future students.
Joseph Halifax Amandeh, the Assistant Headmaster in charge of Academics, expressed gratitude to George Baidoo for his continued support and assured that the Academic Board would work diligently to achieve the intended objectives.
This donation adds to the considerable number of furniture pieces George Baidoo has provided since assuming office.
Earlier, 100 mono desks were supplied to support first-year students, along with 100 lab stools for Science and Home Economics students.
Additionally, 20 tables and chairs were recently provided to support the teaching staff, all aimed at fostering efficient teaching and learning at BISEC.
