WATICO resumes academic activities as CETAG calls off strike

The Wiawso College of Education has announced that all students are required to return to campus between Saturday, August 24, and Sunday, August 25, 2024.

This directive follows the recent decision by the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) to call off its industrial action. Consequently, full academic activities are scheduled to resume on Monday, August 26, 2024.

This development marks a significant moment for the college, as the resolution of the strike allows for the continuation of uninterrupted academic progress.

The decision by CETAG to return to work underscores the association’s dedication to the educational advancement of students in Ghana’s colleges of education.

The college administration has urged students to use this time to prepare for the new academic term by gathering their study materials, addressing any outstanding issues, and mentally preparing for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

The staff is enthusiastic about welcoming students back and is committed to delivering a quality educational experience that promotes both academic and personal growth.

In addition to resuming lectures, the college encourages students to reconnect with their peers, participate in extracurricular activities, and contribute positively to the campus environment.

Faculty members are ready to implement new teaching strategies aimed at enhancing learning outcomes and supporting student success.

Students are reminded to adhere to the reporting dates and to approach the upcoming academic term with enthusiasm and dedication. The college is looking forward to a year of growth, achievement, and collaboration.

For further inquiries or assistance, students are encouraged to contact the college administration. Let’s prepare for an exciting and productive semester at Wiawso College of Education.
