Blacoe Soccer Queens face Hasaacas Ladies in FA Cup clash

Bia Lamplighter College of Education Women’s Team, also known as Blacoe Soccer Queens, has been drawn against powerhouse Hasaacas Ladies in the Round of 16 of the Women’s FA Cup.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at the Prophet Kwame Moses’ “Onyakopon” Park in Debiso.

Blacoe Soccer Queens, a Women’s Division One side, secured their spot in the Round of 16 by eliminating Leona Ladies from Sefwi Bekwai in the Round of 32.

Hasaacas Ladies, the most successful women’s team in Ghana, demonstrated their prowess by thrashing Socrate Maidens 7-0 at the Gyendu Park in the Round of 32, earning their place in the next round.

Notably, this will not be the first encounter between Blacoe Soccer Queens and Hasaacas Ladies. Last season, Secondi Hasaacas eliminated Blacoe Soccer Queens in the Round of 32, winning 2-0 in the first half before technical issues forced the abandonment of the second half.

All eyes will be on Coach Appiah Fantastic and her Blacoe Soccer Queens as they seek to pull off a major upset against Hasaacas Ladies on their home turf.
