Rumours surrounding Fancy Di Maria’s possible departure from Sompa FM to join Wontumi FM and Television have been quashed.
The popular sports presenter, affectionately known as “The Sports God,” was reportedly approached by Sista Afia and top management at Wontumi FM to replace King Eben, who recently left to join Lawson FM and Television.
Negotiations between Fancy Di Maria and Wontumi FM were said to be progressing smoothly, with many believing the deal was all but done. However, in a surprising turn of events, the negotiations broke down, and the move is now officially off.
As a result, Fancy Di Maria will remain at Sompa FM, continuing to host sports programs and deliver foreign news updates. The development comes as a relief to Sompa FM fans, who were eager to retain the charismatic presenter’s services.
