Sefwi All Stars Secretary vows Division One survival amidst challenges

Sefwi All Stars, the sole representative of the Western North Region in the National Division One League, has vowed to fight against relegation as the team struggles to find form this season.

Augustine Boah, the club’s Secretary, has reassured supporters that concrete steps are being taken to ensure the team maintains its Division One status.

Speaking on Sefwinews Sports Night with Kwame Asmah Adolf, Boah acknowledged the club’s current challenges, including a poor run of results that sees them at the bottom of the league table in 16th position with just nine points from 12 matches and a goal deficit of five.

Despite these setbacks, he expressed optimism about the team’s ability to turn the situation around.

Augustine Boah revealed that the club is actively recruiting experienced players to strengthen the squad for the second half of the season.

He said efforts are also underway to mobilize supporters and encourage them to attend matches in large numbers to boost the team’s morale.

Additionally, players have been urged to improve their performance, with Boah emphasizing that the team’s current league position does not reflect their true potential.

Boah made a passionate appeal to the club’s supporters to show their unwavering support in the upcoming home game against New Edubiase United at the Asafo Ramos Park on Sunday.

“The team needs you now more than ever. Your presence and encouragement can inspire the players to give their best and secure crucial points,” he stated.

Sefwi All Stars has managed only one win in their last five matches, raising concerns among fans about the region losing its representation in Division One football.

However, the club’s leadership remains confident that the ongoing interventions will lead to improved results and ultimately secure their survival in the league.

The match against New Edubiase United is seen as a critical turning point for the club, with hopes high that they can deliver a performance that reaffirms their determination to stay in Division One.
