Moses Armah blames NPP for football decline, backs NDC for revival

Moses Armah, the President of Medeama Sporting Club, has attributed the challenges facing Ghana football to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking in an interview on Kessben TV, Mr. Armah emphasized that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) should not bear the brunt of criticism for the current state of football in the country.

Instead, he pointed fingers at the NPP government, claiming their policies and lack of adequate support have stifled the growth of the sport.

“Let’s not blame anybody, let’s not blame GFA for our football…we should blame NPP. With the NDC government, our football will be great,” Moses Armah declared during the televised interviewed.

The Medeama SC boss, who has been named the new Management of Black Stars, expressed optimism about the future of Ghanaian football under the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He urged stakeholders and citizens to recognize the potential for transformative change of NDC, citing their track record of support for sports development.

Moses Armah’s comments have sparked conversations within the football and political circles, with some supporting his stance and others calling for a non-partisan approach to address the structural issues affecting football.
