Peace is returning to the Kusaug Traditional Area after a successful reconciliation between the Kusasi youth and the Ghana Police Service, following recent violent incidents.
The Zug-ran of Kusaug, Bawku Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, played a key role in resolving the conflict. He called on both sides to talk and work together. His direction, supported by the Kusaug Advisory Council, led to peace talks that ended with a strong agreement.
In a statement from the Zug-ran Palace on Friday, it was confirmed that both the youth and the police had agreed to work together peacefully.
As part of the agreement, Kusasi youth have started a sensitisation campaign in all six districts and the municipality within the Kusaug area. The campaign encourages peaceful living and cooperation with the police to help keep law and order.
The Zug-ran praised the youth for choosing peace and showing maturity.
“I thank the youth for their understanding and willingness to choose peace,” he said.
He also appreciated the professionalism of the police, saying their support helped make the peace process a success.
This step marks a new beginning of peace and unity in the Kusaug Traditional Area.
The awareness campaign is expected to build trust between the people and the police, leading to long-term teamwork and better security in the area.
The Zug-ran’s efforts have received praise from many for helping to calm tensions and guide the area toward peace.
