Aowin: WN Patriotic Front congratulates Stephen Morcher on MCE Nomination

The Western North Patriotic Front, a pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP) group, has extended congratulations to Stephen Morcher on his nomination as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Aowin Municipality by the President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama.

In a statement, Vincent Yeboah, Leader of the Western North Patriotic Front, lauded the President’s decision to appoint a young leader to oversee the development of the municipality.

Despite Morcher’s affiliation with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), he emphasized that progress should transcend political lines.

“For the first time, we believe the President has made the right choice by nominating a young leader to steer the affairs of the municipality. Politics should not be about party lines but about development. Anyone who has the potential to bring progress to our municipality deserves recognition and support,” he stated.

Vincent Yeboah, the Youth Member of Parliament for Aowin, urged Morcher to prioritize key challenges facing the Aowin Municipality.

These include the completion of the Mile 4 to Elubo road, an important project initiated by the previous NPP government, as well as addressing the issues of illegal mining (galamsey) and youth unemployment, which continue to affect the stability and growth of the area.

“As we celebrate your nomination, we remind you of some pressing challenges in Aowin Municipality. The incomplete Mile 4 to Elubo road remains a significant concern, and galamsey activities, coupled with high youth unemployment, threaten the municipality’s development. We urge you to focus on these challenges to ensure meaningful progress,” he added.

The Western North Patriotic Front Leader expressed confidence in Morcher’s leadership and assured him of their support in efforts that will benefit the people of Aowin.

“We sincerely pray for your success and hope that under your leadership, Aowin will witness remarkable transformation. Once again, congratulations,” Vincent Yeboah concluded.
