Festus Bumakama Agyapong donates 50 sewing machines to empower youth at Asawinso

Festus Bumakama Agyapong, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso, has taken a significant step toward tackling youth unemployment by donating 50 brand-new sewing machines to the Garments Markers Association at Sefwi Asawinso.

This landmark initiative, aimed at supporting talented but underprivileged apprentices, marks a defining moment in the constituency’s quest for sustainable development and youth empowerment.

Speaking at the donation ceremony, Festus Bumakama Agyapong described the gesture as part of his unwavering commitment to the future of Sefwi Wiawso’s youth.

He emphasized that empowering young people with practical skills is essential to addressing the unemployment crisis, which remains one of the most pressing challenges in the constituency.

“This donation is more than a contribution; it is an investment in the future of Sefwi Wiawso. I want these apprentices to not only complete their training but to emerge as job creators, ready to transform their communities. We are building a foundation for long-term prosperity, and I believe that with the right support, these young people will be the driving force behind it,” Festus Bumakama Agyapong stated passionately.

He further called on the beneficiaries to make the most of the opportunity, urging them to maintain the machines properly and use them to enhance their skills and livelihoods.

The Chairman of the Garments Markers Association, Shaibinu Mensallah, could not contain his gratitude, lauding the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for his vision and commitment to uplifting the underprivileged.

“This is unprecedented. No leader or candidate has ever made such an impactful donation to our association. Festus Bumakama Agyapong has proven that he is a leader who genuinely cares about the well-being of his people,” he remarked.

In a chorus of appreciation, the apprentices themselves hailed Festus Bumakama Agyapong’s intervention as life-changing. Many noted that this was the first time any political figure had taken such a direct interest in their development.

“This donation is a game-changer for us. We are now better equipped to succeed in our training and beyond. Hon. Agyapong has shown us that he is a leader we can trust to prioritize our needs,” one apprentice declared, speaking to the media.
