The MTN Ghana Foundation, in partnership with Cal Bank, is set to roll out the 2026 edition of its flagship “Save A Life” Blood Donation Drive, with an ambitious target of collecting 7,000 units of blood in a single day.
The nationwide initiative, scheduled for Friday, 13th February 2026, will run from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM across all 16 regions of Ghana, reinforcing efforts to support the National Blood Service and regional hospital blood banks.
The annual exercise has become one of the country’s largest corporate-led blood donation campaigns, aimed at helping address persistent blood shortages in hospitals and saving lives, particularly in emergency cases, maternal health, and critical surgeries.
Major collection points in Accra will include the MTN Ghana Head Office, the MobileMoney Ltd office at the Stanchart Building, and the Cal Bank Head Office at Ridge. In addition, 44 designated centres nationwide will be activated to ensure broad public participation and accessibility.
Organisers say the 7,000-unit target reflects their deep commitment to strengthening Ghana’s healthcare system and encouraging voluntary blood donation among Ghanaians.
The MTN Ghana Foundation has, over the years, led impactful health initiatives under its corporate social responsibility agenda, with the “Save A Life” campaign standing out as a key intervention that directly supports hospitals and patients in need.
Members of the public are being encouraged to visit any of the designated centres on the day of the exercise to donate blood and contribute to saving lives across the country.
The 2026 drive is expected to attract thousands of donors, corporate partners, and volunteers in what promises to be a powerful nationwide act of compassion and solidarity.
