The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Akontombra, Alex Djornobuah Tetteh, has lauded the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a beacon of development, emphasizing the party’s achievements and urging Ghanaians to vote for them in the forthcoming general elections.
In an exclusive interview with Etsey Atisu on GhanaWeb TV’s Election Desk, Alex Tetteh underscored the various developmental projects initiated by the current NPP administration, particularly in rural constituencies.
He highlighted the transformative impact these projects have had on communities over the past eight years.
“The vice president has been in the affairs of this country for the past 8 years, and as the chairman of the Economic Management Team, he knows what is left to accomplish from our previous manifesto. We will build on the past 8 years,” Tetteh stated.
He expressed confidence that the NPP’s track record would resonate with voters, particularly in the rural areas where significant development has occurred.
Alex Tetteh also noted that the party’s 2024 manifesto would play a crucial role in securing victory in the elections.
“We believe that NPP is the beacon of development. If you go to some of the constituencies, especially the villages, the development over the past 8 years has been marvelous. I believe that Ghanaians will believe in and support this manifesto,” he added.
Alex Tetteh pointed to the successful implementation of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy as an example of the NPP’s commitment to delivering on its promises, despite initial skepticism from opponents.
“Yes, I believe so. We have done some before, and it’s not like we promise and don’t deliver. The Free SHS we promised in 2016, and some of our opponents did about 40 adverts against it, saying it would not be possible. But we believed that in all things, we can do it,” Tetteh remarked, expressing optimism about the party’s chances in the upcoming elections.
