The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the 2024 elections in Sefwi Wiawso, Festus Bumakama Agyapong, has called on party members to deepen unity, strengthen teamwork, and embrace collective sacrifice as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.
Addressing party faithful in a press release dated Monday, June 15, 2026, following the recent Electoral Area elections, he emphasized that victory in future elections will not come easily but will require discipline, cohesion, and a shared commitment to the party’s agenda.
He stressed that the grassroots of the party have demonstrated trust in their leaders and must now be guided with responsibility, vision, and dedication to sustain momentum toward electoral success.
Congratulatory Message to Party Executives
In a congratulatory message to newly elected party executives, Festus Bumakama Agyapong noted that their victories come with significant responsibility and service to both the party and the people they represent.
“Victory cometh, but not on a silver platter. I therefore take the opportunity to congratulate you collectively and individually on your deserving victories chalked in the just-ended Electoral Area elections of the New Patriotic Party,” he stated.
He further commended the confidence reposed in them by party grassroots, urging them to justify that trust through effective leadership and commitment.
“It is undeniable that the grassroots of the Party have reposed their trust in you and bestowed the lifeline of the Party into your bosom. Your leadership, commitment, and vision will go a long way in charting a clear path towards victory,” he added.
Call for Unity Ahead of 2028 Elections
Looking ahead to the 2028 general elections, Festus Bumakama Agyapong urged members to prioritize unity over division, stressing that internal cohesion remains key to electoral success.
“While we look forward to the 2028 general elections, we must recognize that this is a journey that requires unity of purpose, collective sacrifice, and an unwavering team effort, bearing in mind that we are stronger collectively,” he noted.
