Bia West Presiding Member begins monitoring exercise on ongoing projects

The newly elected Presiding Member of the Bia West District Assembly, Daniel Mbugri, on Monday, May 25, 2026, officially began a monitoring exercise of all ongoing development projects within the district.

This initiative marks one of his first major assignments since his election last month, as part of efforts to ensure accountability, quality assurance, and timely completion of government-funded projects across communities in the district.

The monitoring exercise will cover key sectors including education, health, infrastructure, and sanitation projects.

The Presiding Member is expected to engage contractors, assembly officials, and community stakeholders during the visit to assess progress on the various projects.

The move is aimed at strengthening local governance oversight and ensuring that development projects meet expected standards for the benefit of residents in the Bia West District.

In a related development, Daniel Mbugri has extended warm greetings to all Muslim faithful in the district and beyond as they celebrate Eid al-Adha.

He wished Muslim brothers and sisters peace, unity, and blessings during the festive occasion, encouraging them to continue promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence within their communities.

He further called on residents of Bia West to use the Eid period to strengthen communal bonds and support one another, emphasizing that unity remains key to driving development in the district.
