Former Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Forestry Commission and New Patriotic Party (NPP) Western North Regional Chairmanship aspirant, Martha Kwayie Manu, has dismissed reports suggesting that influential party figures are pressuring her to withdraw from the upcoming regional executive elections.
Responding to the rumours on her WhatsApp platform, Madam Kwayie Manu described the claims as false and insisted that she remains firmly in the race for the NPP Western North Regional Chairmanship.
Her comments follow widespread speculation that some high-profile personalities within the party were calling on her to step down ahead of the NPP Western North Regional Executive Elections, scheduled for August 16, 2026.
Reacting to the speculation, Madam Kwayie Manu dismissed the claims, describing them as part of a calculated attempt to influence the outcome of the race.
“Martha is still in the race and, in fact, she is winning. No, it’s not true, but it’s their plan to make that move. Nobody can stop me from contesting this election. Allah is my strength,” she stated.
She maintained that she has not withdrawn from the race and remains determined to contest the election.
Madam Kwayie Manu also expressed confidence in her campaign, stressing that she would not be intimidated by what she described as attempts to discourage her from seeking the position.
