MTN donates cash, airtime and drinks to support Eluo Festival

MTN Ghana has shown its commitment to preserving cultural heritage by supporting the 2023 Eluo Festival celebrated by the Chiefs and people of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council in the Western North Region.

The company, serving as the official headline sponsor for this year’s Eluo Festival, presented a cheque for GHc10,000, assorted drink hampers, and GHc1000 worth of call cards to support the festivities.

The Senior Manager of the South West Business District of MTN, Prince Owusu Nyarko, emphasized the significance of cultural celebrations in fostering unity and development within communities.

According to him, the company is providing assistance to 40 traditional councils this year, including the prestigious Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council.

He assured the community that MTN’s commitment to enhancing the celebration of festivals will continue to deepen the cordial relations between the company and traditional councils.

As part of their commitment, he mentioned that MTN plans to establish service centers at strategic locations to offer a unique customer experience during the celebration.

Prince Owusu Nyarko stated that these centers will assist customers in connecting their SIM cards with their Ghana Cards and facilitating the registration of new users.

In addition, he offered advice to customers, urging them to safeguard their PIN codes, secure their mobile wallets, and take advantage of the Ayoba Mobile Application.

Nana Elluo Panin III, the Kyidomhene of the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council and a planning committee member expressed profound gratitude to MTN Ghana for their assistance towards the festival.
