Bibiani Goldstars beat Dreams Fc in crucial home win

Bibiani Goldstars FC showcased their resilience, rallying with two quick goals in the second half to secure a 2-1 win over Dreams FC on Sunday afternoon.

The Miners, led by Frimpong Manso, bounced back emphatically from the setback of their previous match, an embarrassing defeat to Nsoatreman FC.

The victory at the Dun’s Park in Bibiani not only marked a redemptive moment but also broke their streak of three winless games.

The turning point came just after the halftime when forward Alex Aso, displaying his goal-scoring prowess, netted his 8th goal of the campaign, igniting the crowd with hope and momentum.

With the home crowd electrified, defender Emmanuel Appau seized the moment, doubling the lead for Goldstars, further cementing their dominance over Dreams.

Despite the uphill battle, Dreams FC managed to salvage some pride, with Joseph Esso finding the back of the net in the dying moments of the game, marking his second goal of the season and providing a late consolation for Dreams.

As the dust settled, Bibiani Goldstars FC now finds themselves in the 10th position on the league standings with 45 ppoints, their spirits lifted by this crucial victory.

However, Dreams FC, perched just two points above the relegation zone, faces mounting pressure as they aim to secure their position in the league.

Looking ahead, the next round of matches promises more excitement as Goldstars brace for a challenging away fixture against league leaders FC Samartex 1996, while Dreams FC will host Karela United FC in a bid to regain their footing in the league standings.
