Bibiani Goldstars crush Mighty Stars 18-0 ahead of GPL return

Bibiani Goldstars showcased their dominance with an impressive performance, defeating lower division side Mighty Stars of Noberkaw in a friendly match.

The resounding victory comes as a morale booster for Bibiani Goldstars ahead of the return of the Ghana Premier League.

The match, held at Dun’s Park on Wednesday, saw an overwhelming performance from the miners as they swept aside Mighty Stars with a staggering 18-0 win. Leading the charge for Bibiani Goldstars were several standout players who left an indelible mark on the game.

Prince Kwabena Owusu stole the show with a remarkable hat-trick, while Emmanuel Appau, Alex Aso, Ronald Frimpong, Appiah Maccarthy, Ibrahim Laar, Mawuli Wayo, and Eric Bosomtwi each contributed with goals of their own. Charles Kamara sealed the emphatic victory with a well-taken penalty.

The win against Mighty Stars adds to Bibiani Goldstars’ string of impressive performances in their preparation for the Ghana Premier League.

Previously, they secured victories against Bekwaiman FC with a 4-1 scoreline, Jenninso Man City with a commanding 9-2 win, and held Wamanafo Mighty Royals to a 1-1 draw.

With such formidable form displayed in their preparatory matches, Bibiani Goldstars are poised to make a strong statement as they gear up to face Berekum Chelsea in the upcoming Ghana Premier League fixture at Dun’s Park on Sunday, February 25th.

Bibiani Goldstars currently occupy the 14th position on the league standings, having accumulated 18 points from 17 matches in the 2023/24 season.
