Frederick Kesse joins Egyptian Premier League side Modern Sport Club

Accra Lions have confirmed the departure of midfielder Frederick Kesse, who has signed with Egyptian Premier League club Modern Sport Club.

Former Sefwi All Stars player, who played a pivotal role in Accra Lions’ second-place finish in the Ghana Premier League last season, is expected to bring his talents to the Egyptian top-flight.

The 21-year-old midfielder featured in 15 matches for Accra Lions and was a key member of Ghana’s U20 national team that won the gold medal at the 2023 African Games.

Kesse’s performance has earned him a move to Modern Sport Club, where he is anticipated to make a significant impact.

“Accra Lions Football Club can confirm the departure of midfielder Frederick Kesse to Egyptian Premier League side Modern Sport Club. Frederick featured in fifteen Ghana Premier League matches for Accra Lions and was part of Ghana’s Under 20 National Team that won the Gold Medal in the 2023 African Games,” the club shared on X.

Accra Lions also wished Kesse success in his new journey, as he looks forward to contributing to Modern Sport Club in the ongoing season.
