Fustus Bumankama Agyapong cuts sod for construction of Boako market

Festus Bumankama Agyapong, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Sefwi Wiawso, has initiated the commencement of the long-awaited construction of the Sefwi Boako Market.

Promising to alleviate the burden on local traders, Festus Bumankama Agyapong cut the sod for the project during a vibrant ceremony attended by hundreds of residents and NPP supporters.

Just days after pledging to address the community’s needs during a health walk in Sefwi Boako on April 28, Festus Bumankama Agyapong swiftly fulfilled his promise by kickstarting the market’s development.

The ceremony saw the contract officially handed over to Budox Construction Company Limited, amidst enthusiastic applause from the gathered crowd.

The ambitious project aims to deliver a modern market infrastructure within a tight timeframe of six months. The market will feature a single-story structure comprising 14 open stalls and will include essential amenities such as male and female KVIP toilet facilities.

Expressing his commitment to overseeing the project’s progress, Festus Bumankama Agyapong emphasized the importance of timely and diligent construction efforts.

He urged Budox Construction Company Limited to work tirelessly to ensure the market’s completion within the stipulated timeframe.

The Chief of Sefwi Boako, Nana Asante Kwaw II, lauded Festus Bumankama Agyapong for his dedication to fulfilling his promise to the community, despite facing challenges and misinformation.

He expressed confidence that Agyapong’s efforts would dispel any doubts surrounding the project, with expectations high for its completion by December 2024.

In a show of solidarity, Nana, pledged full support to Budox Construction Company Limited and urged them to employ skilled labor from the community.

In response, the construction company reiterated its commitment to delivering the project on schedule, promising to work diligently to meet the community’s expectations.
