GAAM congratulates nominees for MMDCEs positions

The Western North Chapter of the Ghana Association of Assembly Members (GAAM) has extended heartfelt congratulations to the nominees for the positions of Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs).

This gesture underscores the association’s unwavering commitment to supporting local governance and development in Ghana.

Led by the National President, Ackah Nelson Frank, GAAM conveyed its best wishes to the nine MMDCE nominees appointed by the President.

The association expressed confidence in their capabilities, emphasizing that their leadership qualities and deep understanding of their respective districts would drive positive transformation.

In an official statement, the Western North Chapter of GAAM described the nomination of the MMDCEs as a “significant milestone” in Ghana’s decentralization agenda. The association recognized the pivotal role MMDCEs play in advancing local development and ensuring the efficient delivery of services to communities.

The association urged the nominees to work diligently to justify the confidence entrusted in them. It emphasized the need for the nominees to be proactive in addressing the needs and aspirations of their communities.

Furthermore, the Western North Chapter of GAAM commended H.E. John Dramani Mahama for his commitment to decentralization, highlighting the nomination of MMDCEs as a crucial step towards empowering local communities.

As the nominees prepare to assume office, GAAM called on them to actively engage with their communities, listen to their concerns, and work collaboratively to address pressing challenges.

The association stressed the importance of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity in governance to ensure effective service delivery.

The Western North Chapter of GAAM also reaffirmed its readiness to support and collaborate with the nominees in fostering local development. It assured the MMDCEs of its commitment to working together to tackle the unique challenges facing their districts.

Ackah Nelson Frank, the National President of GAAM, urged the various Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to facilitate a smooth and transparent confirmation process for the nominees.

He emphasized that a seamless confirmation process would enable the MMDCEs to assume their roles promptly and commence their duties without hindrance.
