The Management of Sefwinews has issued a rallying cry to all stakeholders in the Western North region to throw their weight behind Sefwi All Stars’ Premier League qualification campaign.
The call comes on the heels of the club’s commendable performance in the ongoing 2023/24 Access Bank Division One League.
Sefwi All Stars, the sole representative of the Western North region in the Access Bank Division One League, is eyeing a spot in the prestigious Premier League, buoyed by their recent displays on the pitch.
Having secured promotion to Ghana’s second-tier football in 2022 after emerging victorious in the Western Regional Football Association Super Middle in Bibiani, Sefwi All Stars made a respectable debut by finishing 13th in Zone Two of the Division One League in their inaugural season.
In the current 2023/24 season, the club has shown significant promise, currently occupying the 7th position in the league standings with 37 points, trailing the leaders, New Edubiase United, by a mere 4 points.
Sports journalists, administrators, and football enthusiasts across the Western North region are optimistic about Sefwi All Stars’ chances of clinching a Premier League spot, echoing sentiments that parallel the success story of Bibiani Goldstars’ qualification in 2021.
In an exclusive interview, Kwame Adolf Asmah, the Managing Editor of Sefwinews.com, emphasized the pivotal role of financial support in the club’s quest for Premier League status.
Asmah noted that financial constraints remain a major hurdle for the club, stressing that with adequate backing, Sefwi All Stars could elevate the region’s football to unprecedented heights.
As the club prepares for its crucial Matchday 26 fixture against Basake Holy Stars, Asmah urged both the management and players to leave no stone unturned in their pursuit of victory.
He called upon supporters to converge at the Asafo Ramos Park on Sunday, urging them to rally behind the team with unwavering support.
