Newly elected New Patriotic Party (NPP) Constituency Chairman for Akontombra, Thompson Owusu Amoako, has pledged to promote unity, strengthen party welfare systems, and empower the grassroots as he begins his tenure.
In a message to party members, Mr. Owusu Amoako said his leadership would not be for a selected few but would serve every member of the NPP in the constituency.
He emphasized that unity would be the foundation of his administration, stressing that the party’s strength lies in collective efforts rather than individual interests.
“My vision for Akontombra NPP is built on unity above all, establishment of a strong welfare system, strong grassroots engagement, and leadership based on respect, transparency, and service,” he stated.
The new chairman assured polling station executives, electoral area coordinators, constituency executives, youth groups, women organizers, patrons, and party faithful of an inclusive leadership approach where every member would have a voice.
Mr. Owusu Amoako further announced plans to establish and strengthen welfare schemes at the electoral area and polling station levels to support party members during difficult times and promote a stronger sense of belonging among members.
According to him, a well-structured welfare system would help build a stronger party family where no member feels neglected.
He also promised to intensify grassroots engagement through regular interactions with party structures, improved communication, and empowerment of members to strengthen the party’s mobilisation efforts ahead of future elections.
“Leadership is about service. I pledge to lead with honesty, fairness, accountability, and inclusiveness. Together, we will build trust and strengthen our party machinery,” he added.
Mr. Owusu Amoako called on all party members to unite and work together for the progress of Akontombra Constituency and the success of the NPP.
“Together we unite. Together we care. Together we win,” he said.
